Job Overview

OmniOn Power is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Internal SAP Technical Solution Architect to join our dynamic team. SAP Solution Architect will be responsible for providing solution and application architecture support to the ERP Transformation program. Work with various BU and ERP team members to develop vision, strategy, and technical solutions to deliver the next generation of ERP/SAP. Work with other business leads, application leads, and 3rd party service providers to deliver application team deliverables related to all phases of ERP Transformation. Participate in building business cases as necessary to support hypotheses.

Responsible for providing technical input to near and long term technical strategic plans and the tactics that are necessary to achieve those plans and objectives. This will involve developing complex processes which account for infrastructure, architecture, and cyber team engagement in order to achieve the desired technical state. This architect will work across the enterprise to leverage expertise wherever it resides to support the development and sustainment of the ERP system as OmniOn Power continues to drive large scale, transformational initiatives that will consolidate and evolve foundational platforms.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Play a critical role in SAP application design, implementation, and evolution.
  • Responsible for SAP technical architecture design. Will work closely with business, IT suppliers and internal project teams, gathering non-functional requirements and benchmarking with market standards to reach the optimal strategy.
  • Supervision, control, and support project deliveries, working directly with Product Owners, Project Managers and Service Delivery teams (technical and functional).
  • Lead a multi-year implementation journey to upgrade and transform our SAP ecosystem.
  • Provides SAP expertise in respect to systems development, SAP configuration, user access methods, solutions, and applications.
  • Research solutions for complex problems using a variety of methods and modalities.
  • Drives and delivers activities related to technology roadmap creation and execution. Works across the business to drive the development and adoption of key ERP capabilities that are common, innovative, and scalable.
  • Create Global Design and Global Blueprint deliverables related to applications team such as Instance Strategy and Application Landscape diagrams. Progress design deliverables through the implementation cycles.
  • Work with process teams to determine scope of objects needed to deliver implementation including but not limited to reports, conversions, interfaces, enhancements and forms

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Technology, Engineering or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 6-8 plus years’ experience in SAP arena

Desired Characteristics:

  • Proficiency in business process knowledge and configuration of SAP for a subset of modules – Logistics, Materials Management, Sales & Distribution, Warehouse & Quality Management, Production Planning, Project Systems and Financial Supply Chain Mgmt. 
  • Knowledge of the operations and integration of modules within SAP – Logistics, Materials Management, Sales & Distribution, Warehouse & Quality Management, Production Planning, Project Systems and Financial Supply Chain Mgmt..
  • Experience with SAP UX and developing strategies for deployment, security, hosting strategy for UX
  • Ability to design an implementable SAP solution covering both functional and technical aspects working with functional and technical teams
  • Candidate must have the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas, processes, and technical data in written, graphical, and verbal mediums to technical and non-technical audience. Must be comfortable interfacing with and presenting to individuals that are both up and down the organization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate, influence, and lead others collaboratively and constructively
  • Strong analytical and problem determination/resolution skills with a proven track record of achieving desired results
  • Business Continuity (Backup/Recovery, High availability, and Disaster Recovery).
  • Experience in ECC and S/4 HANA Implementation / System Conversion / Landscape Transformation, SAP Cloud application implementations.
  • Minimum 2 full lifecycle implementations / roll outs & support experience in SAP ECC and/or S4 projects
