Required Skills

Essential Functions

  • Service equipment correctly on the first attempt as required and avoid unnecessary down-time.
  • Service equipment as required to ensure proper working condition when leaving the shop.
  • Dismantles and reassembles/ rebuilds equipment.
  • Diagnoses standard mechanical equipment problems.
  • Fabricate parts as needed to meet needs.
  • Perform safety inspections on equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment (service truck or shop work station).
  • Perform maintenance on company vehicle fleet.
  • Perform maintenance on jobsites.
  • Service orders should be completed accurately and concisely, use of computer when applicable.
  • Operate equipment.
  • Maintain parts inventory.

Required Experience

  • Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong team player with a positive attitude
  • A minimum 1-3 years of experience repairing and maintaining heavy construction equipment; vocational training may be considered in lieu of experience.
  • High School diploma is required.
  • Able to read schematics (both hydraulic and electrical).
  • Perform annual certifications and inspections.
  • Capable of accomplishing task independently without direct supervision.
