Department OverviewManufacturing Engineering: The Richardson facility is responsible for manufacturing all Video Security and Analytics products - Fixed and mobile Video products.Job Description

In this role you will:

  • Design State-of-art Test solutions and strategy for automated Test equipment, data collection and reporting

  • Develop user-friendly Graphical interfaces for Test Automation using LabView or other advanced Test development tools

  • Develop and Install drivers and necessary tools necessary to have the Test Programs production-ready

  • Develop Test hardware interfaces to enable automated test data collection during Temperature cycle testing of Products in different phases of their Life cycle

  • Verify Firmware/Software Release candidates and provide detailed summary reports of findings to aid in redevelopment of code/hardware or ECN release

  • Develop Test procedures/instructions and train Production Team members

  • Manage and coordinate Test data collection efforts

Preferred Skills:

  • 5 or more years of Test development experience in R&D and Manufacturing environment involving Test automation that includes Test instrument driver development, GUI, Test Data collection and reporting.

  • Proven experience in writing Test Procedures, Failure Analysis report and other relevant Test development documents.

  • Develop Manufacturing Test requirements: Work with Hardware and Software Design Engineers to develop Test cases, identify Test hardware, software tools and acceptance criteria.

  • Project management skills: ability to manage all assigned tasks in a project time-line manner from start to finish. Create and work with small teams to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.

  • Design Test fixtures for Production test; robust, state-of-art interconnect methods, Data Acquisition Switching, Analog and Digital signal conditioning modules, etc.

  • Test System design for Functional testing using GPIB, RS-232 and USB interfaces is essential.

  • Proven knowledge and extensive experience with Analog and Digital electronics:

  • A/D and D/A circuits. Analog - Power management, exposure to Li-on Battery interfaces. Digital - Microcontroller, FPGA, RAM, EEPROM. Addressing and control I2C bus. Familiarity and experience using Cadence/Mentor design software tools.

  • Knowledge of JTAG interfaces and experience with development of Boundary Scan tests is highly desirable. Familiarity with Asset or JTAG Technologies tools is a plus.

  • Work with Quality and Reliability teams to improve/enhance Test methods, data collection, knowledgebase and feedback to Customer Service to close the loop.

Basic Requirements

Education and Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred

  • 5 + years of Test development experience required.

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
