Job Overview:

OminiOn Power is seeking a Finance Analyst for Payroll and Corporate Travel expenses, to be based in Plano, TX. In this position you will be responsible for managing all financial transactions related to Payroll and Corporate travel transactions among other activities. This position reports to the OmniOn Power, Global Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager.

Responsibilities:

The Finance Analyst under the leadership of the FP&A Manager will manage all activities related to Payroll and Corporate Travel expenses. Main activities include the following:

  • Global Payroll - Review weekly payroll transactions for all employees on a global basis. Book entries and review potential accruals if needed.
  • Pension & Benefits Accounting - Perform moderate to complex analysis for management reporting. Provide support to 3rd party administrator as needed.
  • This position reviews general ledger account balance reconciliations and assists less experienced analysts in preparing and anticipating correcting entries identified during that reconciliation.
  • Work with internal & external auditors and ensure essential information receipt / publication timelines are met.
  • Work with Treasury to coordinate forecasts of cash payments and receipts.
  • Analyze pension and benefits data to develop the burden and other rate projections for the annual budget & MTP processes.
  • Special Projects - Perform analysis and evaluation of Financial IT systems and tools as requested by the Manager Benefits Accounting & Payroll, Controller or VP of Finance.
  • Corporate Card - Perform audits of expense reports and card statements as needed. Provide assistance for GR/IR reconciliation for credit card charges & expense report postings.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis for payroll, travel expenses and other functional activities as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance and accounting, finance or business administration.
  • Minimum 2 years of accounting experience

  • Strong reconciliation skills
  • Perform broad financial analysis of results of operations
  • Prioritize work when given multiple projects
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team/ co-worker environment
  • Skills in change management both in accepting change and leading change processes.
  • Extensive PC & IT system skills: ERP Systems, Excel, Word, IT architecture and the ability to maintain those skills as technology changes.
  • Work with limited supervision
