As a Mechanic in the rotor shop you will perform various operations including but not limited to; disassembly, inspecting, balancing, and reassembling of Gas Turbine rotors, Centrifugal compressor rotors, and Steam rotors.

As a Rotor Shop Mechanic, you will be responsible for:

  • Demonstrating familiarity with hand, pneumatic and hydraulic tooling Accurately use precision measuring equipment (ID / OD / depth micrometers, calipers, etc.)
  • Possessing a deep mechanical aptitude with ability to independently comprehend complex machining or assembly drawings including
  • Performing vertical and horizontal balancing of gas turbines
  • Working as a team member to follow detailed work routers for inspection and repair of rotating equipment while under time constraints
  • Troubleshooting, test, assemble, disassemble and perform the visual inspection of Rotating Equipment.
  • Assisting in repairing and modifying non-conforming equipment, you will perform all test with minimal instruction


Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a High School Diploma or equivalent diploma
  • Have minimum 5 years of overhaul and repair experience in at least one of the following areas: GE10, PGT 10/PGT 25, Frame 3/Frame 5/Frame 7 Gas Turbine and Steam repairs
  • Have manual machining experience with gas turbines and steam rotors
  • Have good knowledge of HSE requirements and be able to follow and update safety policies and procedures
  • Be able to work second shift- 2PM-10:30PM.
