The salary range for this role, based in Texas is $154,600.00 to $193,300.00, range will vary if outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate'sexperience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.

Position Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to lead the assigned customer's strategy in concert with various internal stakeholders within PRUSA. This strategy is rooted in the customer's route to shopper/consumer in-store and e-commerce/ digital approach with the goal of PRUSA brands outperforming the category and ultimately growing share. This individual will be responsible for strengthening & building relationships with customer buyer / category manager, state and wholesaler network and merchandising & e-commerce teams in order to streamline customer & consumer selling solutions that drive the performance of PRUSA brands through availability, visibility, value & velocity.

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities

  • Lead and own customer strategy for PRUSA by building a joint business plan with the customer that leverages PRUSA brands, shopper, category, consumer and digital insights to deliver customer's plan and beat the market for PRUSA brands.
  • Communicate account priorities to ensure open communication and alignment on customer opportunities & disciplines.
  • Lead, develop and implement annual customer calendar that supports key holidays and events for the customer that delivers programming and initiatives that support joint business planning targets for both the customer and PRUSA.
  • Lead segmentation strategy for brand, package and multi-cultural programming.
  • Lead the creation of customer marketing and innovation in collaboration with the Customer Marketing, Merchandising, E-Commerce/Digital and Customer & Shopper Insights teams.
  • Execute Customers' strategy with PRUSA brands by utilizing category management and shopper insights to drive the size and value of PRUSA's portfolio for the assigned national account customer base.
  • Work closely with Sr. Customer Solutions Managers (SCSMs), Customer Solutions Managers (CSMs) and Customer & Commercial Planning & Analysis to build customer plan by market, brand, and package. The Director, National Chain Customers owns the strategy for course correction and must work closely with the markets and brands to adjust plan as necessary to deliver both the customer and PRUSA plan results.
  • Work closely with distributor(s) counterparts to ensure execution and alignment of customer plan. Monitor the performance of the accounts by market with distributor partners to ensure delivery of the plan.
  • Communicate Look of Success, programming, execution targets and implementation plans to the field (Region Managers and states) and brands.
  • Partner with Sr. CSMs and CSMs to conduct post-programming analysis and report results to key stakeholders to include brand, finance, field leadership and chain leadership (communication vehicles include monthly scorecard reporting, PEP meetings, brand alignment meetings, etc.) Lead strategy and initiatives to course correct and drive innovation to close gaps.
  • Lead strategy discussions and development of customer plan by collaborating with several cross-functional teams within the organization (marketing, digital, finance, field, customer operations, customer solutions, shopper insights, legislative leaders) to gain alignment with customer business plans.
  • Work with State and Local chain team to ensure activation of local assets & programming.
  • Establish execution scorecard for customer and track results.
  • Identify plan gaps and accelerators and adjust customer plan accordingly to deliver targets and beat the competition.
  • Work with markets to plan promotional features that include alignment on promotional pricing.

Nature & Scope

Position typically works with the VP Regional Selling, National Accounts Off-Premise West, Region Managers, Brand Managers, Division Vice Presidents, Director Business Development, local Market Manager, Brand/Channel marketing, Supply Chain and Key Distributor partners. Decisions have national impact and can significantly affect the performance and profitability of Pernod Ricard USA.

Requirements/Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor's Degree required.

- Experience/Background:

  • 7-10+ years of proven success in sales serving large diverse customers.
  • Experience with direct key account or channel responsibility required.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated success in distributor management, customer management and field operations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to command an audience while delivering presentations.
  • Business and Analytical Acumen.
  • Experience building a customer's business plan.
  • Success managing P&L.
  • Understanding and leading category management activities.
  • Ability to apply revenue growth management initiatives to customer business plan(s).
  • Proficiency in applying analytics to provide business building solutions for the customer.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in a typical field environment, with moderate demands for movement and lifting.

  • Location: Remote based employee. (TX, FL, or CA preferred)
  • Travel: Frequent travel to customer sites is required. (40% of the time)
