About the Role

As a Senior Engineer, you will work on a variety of challenging manufacturing engineering developments. You will lead and participate in Lean Product Development interdisciplinary teams to support development of Watlow's new production lines. You will be a member of an Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Team and will utilize your knowledge and experience to solve complex problems while working with other team members in a collaborative work environment. You will lead projects to ideate, develop and validate tooling, fixtures, machinery, systems and ensure customer requirements are met or exceeded. The position is based in Hannibal, MO.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems using creative and systemic problem-solving tools and techniques
  • Excellent engineering and communication skills to work with a broad range of applications, customers, suppliers and team members
  • Flexibility to work on multiple projects of varying size, scope and complexity
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Understands it is necessary to fully document project work

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with preferred 5-8 years of related engineering experience.

Desired Qualifications

  • Extensive background in machinery and fixture design
  • Controls and electrical panel design experience
  • Strong solid modeling CAD experience
  • Automation experience. Programming PLC's, HMI's, temperature controllers and collaborative robots
  • Working knowledge of measurement systems, techniques and analysis, including basic GD&T understanding and tolerance stack-up calculations
  • Experience with the use of lean manufacturing tools and principles
  • Working knowledge of quality tools and statistical techniques used in manufacturing (i.e. FMEA's, DRBFM's, process flow maps, SPC, control charts, process capability, MSA, Gauge R&R)
  • Lean Product Development experience is a plus
