Currently, Alliant Health Solutions, a "2023 Best Place to Work and Healthiest Employer", seeks a Quality Information Specialist. The End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Quality Information Specialist, under the direction of the ESRD Executive Director, updates and maintains aspects technical assistance and support of the End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Quality Reporting System (EQRS) environment, security management, and information technology support for all ESRD providers. In order to ensure the implementation of processes and procedures related to Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) contract requirements and deliverables and efficient methods for auditing and tracking of Heath Information for the ESRD population and contracts.

In this role, the ideal candidate does the following:

* Provide technical assistance to dialysis facilities to submit data into EQRS

* Monitor, reviews, reports and assess facility EQRS data and other data systems

* Provide training for dialysis and transplant center personnel with questions on data entry into EQRS.

* Disseminate information on Quality Dialysis Facility Compare (QDFC), Performance Score Report (PSR), and Performance Score Certificate (PSC) preview and final reports and track facilities accessing these reports based on CMS requirements

* Enter CMS reports, forms etc., into EQRS on a daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis as assigned and audits information for compliance Assure accuracy of data entered EQRS by reconciling data reports provided by CMS, including but not limited to, alerts and notifications.

* Builds relationships with providers and other customers connected to the Network.

* Ensure all dialysis facilities have successfully completed and submitted a CMS 2744A form and all transplant centers have successfully completed and submitted a CMS- 2744B form.

* Participate in data demonstrations and provide feedback on design of current functionality and additional features to EQRS.

* Conduct standards, practices, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent information processing operations and to safeguard information resources.

* Report on contract activities related to Data and ESRD Health Information Management for Networks. Provide input for the data section of monthly report to CMS.

* Report problems encountered using CMS designed data systems, and report issues to the appropriate entity for Networks.

* Participate in CMS data user's meetings and conference calls; Data Quality Management forum; Network Data staff meetings and conference calls. May lead meetings if needed.

* Prepare for and assist with CMS annual evaluation for Network.

* Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this role include:

* Knowledge, skill, and ability to analyze information and utilize advanced features of multiple software tools to compile, analyze, and report data.

* Knowledge, skill, and ability to manage projects, organize, prioritize, anticipate needs, trouble-shoot, and complete tasks.

* Knowledge, skill and ability to work with a team, build rapport, collaborate and communicate in verbal and written formats, including presentations.

* Ability to handle change, innovate and be flexible.

* Ability to conduct needs analysis and develop business processes to meet contract requirements.

* Advance-level knowledge of information technical knowledge, including electronic information systems.

* Ability to travel by driving in a car and/or flying on a plane to Company locations, customer events, meetings and/or other locations as needed.

Education, experience, and training required and preferred for the position are below:

Required:

* Bachelor's degree with major in information systems, computer science or related field; or equivalent work experience

* 3 years of experience working with health information/medical office required

Preferred:

* 5 years of experience with information systems function

* Healthcare, non-profit, and/or government contractor

* End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Dialysis facility knowledge

PHYSICIAL REQUIREMENTS

Essential duties are routinely performed in a professional office environment but may be conducted in remote or field locations. The role may require work at a station/desk and routinely requires use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers/scanners, fax machines, printers, and filing cabinets. Duties may require use of transportation to attend meetings or conduct duties outside of the office environment. Must be able to regularly remain in a stationary position and occasionally move about the office to access office machinery and facilities. Occasionally must be able to move/transport materials weighing up to 30 pounds, as well as position self to access files, equipment and work materials. This role frequently communicates to internal and external resources both verbally and written, via face-to-face, electronic and telephonic media. Must be able to understand and exchange accurate information in these situations, as well as translate into action. Short-term and long-term memory, abstract reasoning and decision making may be required on a regular basis. Core office / business operational hours may be required.
