Our team in Military Aircraft Group is looking for a Senior Systems Project Engineer to join them. You will report to the Engineering Manager and will have an onsite work schedule at our business unit, Genesys Aerosystems, located in Mineral Wells, TX. Genesys Aerosystems delivers customer-focused technologies and customized solutions for Special Mission, Military & Defense, Military Trainer, Business, and General Aviation industries.

As a Senior Systems Project Engineer you will provide engineering and project leadership for flight control systems projects within our Air Vehicle Engineering team. You will be responsible for all technical (software, mechanical, and electrical) oversight required for the design, development, and testing of complex integrated systems with a focus on our path towards Simplified Vehicle Operations and Optionally Piloted Vehicles. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering staff, business development, programs, and customers as we move forward as a company on this technology development path.

To be considered for Senior Systems Project Engineer, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor's in engineering with 6+ years of engineering experience. Equivalent combination of education and/or related experience may be considered.
  • 1 year of experience leading technical teams or projects.
  • Must have excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% to support projects.

As a Senior Systems Project Engineer, you will:

  • Oversee technical, cost and schedule performance for development programs.
  • Validate conceptual problem solutions by performing trade studies and analyses.
  • Document designs, analyses, and test results with accurate and concise reports.
  • Set the direction for the technical engineering team, coordinate a team of designers, software engineers, technicians, and flight test engineers.
  • Proposal technical content development and costing support.
  • Be the main technical contact for potential customers.
  • Occasional travel to support customer meetings and business development needs.
  • System and subsystem analysis and requirements specification.
  • System and subsystem modeling and performance analysis.
  • Participates in and/or leads special projects, as assigned. Project leadership of engineering projects across the product lines.

Salary Range and Pay Disclaimer: The base pay range for this opportunity is $90,000 - 130,000 per year.

The base pay range represents the low and high end of the Moog pay range or indicates the hourly rate for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on many factors such as skills, experience, certifications and performance. The rate listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include a profit share bonus, employee stock purchase plan, a flexible paid time off policy, competitive 401K plan with enhanced matching program, and many region-specific benefits.
