Job Description

We are seeking a strong-willed and results driven Design Engineer to join our team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design/create 3-D models & engineering 2-D drawings for attachment products using Creo Parametric and while ensuring the customer requests are being met.
  • Revise 3-D models and engineering drawings for existing products
  • Create outsource packets for suppliers mainly composed of bucket drawings
  • Assist production with issues related to attachment design or fabrication, and product related customer complains.
  • Create and maintain part numbers and BOMs in SAP
  • Create general reference GA drawings which include 3D views and product details
  • Other related duties as assigned

Must be willing to learn, and comply with, the Komatsu Worldwide Code of Business Conduct, Komatsu America Corp. Code of Conduct, Hensley Environmental Policies, Hensley Safety Policies, and Hensley Quality Policies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering disciple.
  • 2+ years of 3-D & 2-D CAD work experience using Creo Parametric or similar CAD tool.
  • 1+ years of experience with Product Lifecycle Management software (Windchill) is preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in basic design engineering calculation and tolerances stack up study.
  • 1+ years of recent experience in finite element analysis (FEA) is preferred.
  • Experience in construction and mining attachment design is preferred.
  • Experience in the metal fabrication industry is preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
  • Accurate and pays attention to detail.
  • Ability to present technical data informatively in written reports.
  • Ability to complete assignments within desired time frames.
