PURPOSE

Reporting to the Senior Director of People Technology, the Manager of People Technology oversees the fulfillment of expanding and enhancing HCM functionality aligned to broader HR and organizational goals. The manager coordinates activities across multiple projects via development and management of program strategy and implementation, project delegation, work prioritization, usability and simplification. Additionally, the manager will enable successful implementation of deployment strategy, product development efforts, and HCM strategic roadmap with an emphasis and focus on team member usability of technology.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Planning

  • Assess needs and requirements of internal customers and determines feasibility of work, including identifying project objectives and ensuring they align to broader program strategy.
  • Identification and assignment of internal resources, allocating resources strategically to support efficiency and efficacy of HCM strategy.
  • Partner with Senior Director and utilize program knowledge to understand where to drive product development efforts with vendor.

Delivery and Execution:

  • Manages long-term strategic as well as day-to-day project and program planning and execution. Monitors completed tasks and accomplishments for technical accuracy and adherence to previously established goals.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Develops tools and training methods to enable successful project and program management practices.
  • Develops deployment strategy and tracking mechanism for functional leadership to improve efficiency of project completion and roadmap development.

Collaboration and Partnership:

  • Consult with and serves as a liaison between HCM team, HR Operations team (usability crossover)and key stakeholders to ensure delivery of programs/projects on time, within budget, to specifications and to ensure needs of end users and internal customers are met.
  • Coordinates resources across organizational boundaries. Represents the HCM function in a variety of Business and HR forums with varying levels of stakeholders inclusive of company executives.

Change Management:

  • Leads communications with stakeholders on change approach to ensure expectations and objectives are met.

Agile Practices:

  • Develops Agile training materials and content and delivers hands-on training and coaching of defined agile practices to teams.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises assigned team members. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
  • 5+ years in an HR technology project management role
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Leadership experience preferred

In addition to the base wage listed, this position is also eligible to earn an annual bonus subject to changes in plan design and documents and in accordance with applicable law. Eligibility and the amount of the bonus varies based on overall company success, thresholds met and other terms and conditions of the Company's active bonus policy for the respective year.
