As a seasoned Agile Software DevelopmentConfiguration Manager, you will:

  • Support a Department of Justice, FBI program, who designs, builds, and implements highly technical data collection systems.
  • Support a technology lab who dynamically implements technology to meet their outside customers uniquely defined evidence collection needs.

A week in the life of a seasoned Agile Software DevelopmentConfiguration Manager:

  • Working with our projects software development team, this candidate will be responsible for the Configuration Management (CM) development, execution, testing, validation, and documentation of the processes involved with developed software information technology solutions.
  • Responsible for operating the defined and agreed upon CM process, ensuring it interfaces with all other relevant solutions.
  • Review the effectiveness and efficiency, performing audits, and managing the improvement cycle.
  • Evaluates performance metrics against the defined critical success factors and institutes actions to correct shortcomings or further streamline the configuration management process as necessary.
  • Direct, prioritize, and schedule audits as necessary and ensure that any corrective actions are identified.
  • Produces and reports management information, including impact analysis reports and configuration status reports.
  • Identifies opportunities and submits recommendations to the team for improvement with respect to tools, staff, training, process, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Understand and be able to create basic scripting to automate repetitive CM tasks or to make items that can be executed by team using PowerShell.
  • Understand the use of Git to support teams use of the platform in development efforts.
Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma (HS) and 13+ years of related experience, Associates Degree (AS) and 10+ years of related experience, Bachelors' Degree (BS) and 6+ years of related experience, or a Masters' Degree (MS) and 5+ years of related experience.
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance with the willingness to take an agency CI polygraph when requested.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to work on own with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to support up to 5% CONUS travel.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $165,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors to include relevant experience and permitted by law.
