We are currently hiring a Legal Assistant in Boston, MA.

*A Hybrid position at Boston Beer requires that our coworkers reside within commuting distance to be onsite according to their teams' weekly schedule.

The Legal Assistant is responsible for providing support in the areas of Board of Directors support, contract management and review, public company compliance, and general legal administration.

What You'll Brew:

  • Board of Directors support
    • Provides support for Board of Directors meeting logistics, hospitality, and travel; facilitates Board communications; coalesces and distributes meeting materials to the Board of Directors and Executive Leadership in advance of Board meetings
  • Contract Management and Review
    • Working with our contracts team, responsible for the maintenance of our contracts management system, which includes tracking, reporting, and managing the execution of company contracts
    • Provides training on the contracts management system
    • Implements process improvements based on coworker feedback. Responsible for the initial review of certain contracts in conjunction with other members of the Legal Team
  • Public Company Compliance
    • Assists with public company compliance requirements such as SEC filings, state business filings, corporate entity management, and other registrations
  • General Legal Administration
    • The Legal Assistant may also be asked to provide general administrative support for other areas of the Legal Team, including but not limited to employment law, legal team metrics, intellectual property, marketing compliance, and maintenance of the Legal Team's physical and network files

What Ingredients You'll Bring:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1- 2+ years experience in corporate or legal environment
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office suite tools and ability to quickly learn new software platforms
  • Professional demeanor capable of regularly working with Executive and Board of Directors
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
  • Able to successfully manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment and manage through ambiguity and complexity
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude and willingness to work on administrative tasks
  • Interest in exploring and learning multiple areas of the legal field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree

Level: 8

In accordance with pay transparency lawsthe salary range for this role if hired is $53,040 - $98,800 annually based on location and the experience level of the candidate. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance.
