Description

Quality Control Technician:

Performs and documents inspection of in-process and finished parts for conformance to drawings and process specifications; supports quality in the management and monitoring of the Quality Management System; and performs audits to ensure compliance to quality specifications.

Job Duties:

  • Support the maintenance and monitoring of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
  • Hands on mechanical inspector who will perform part inspections using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.
  • Assist with internal and external Quality System audits.
  • Identify non-conformances and assist in disposition and determination of cause and corrective action.
  • Able to read blue prints and basic knowledge of GD&T.
  • Assist with management of training program and train new employees on proper care and use of precision measuring equipment.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.) or higher
  • Mechanically oriented hands-on person
  • Familiar with ISO 9009 (a positive)
  • Strong software skills in MS Office including Excel and Word
  • Team player with excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be capable of being at work on time, working your full shift and be willing to work overtime as needed
  • While performing the duties of this job you will be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, or hear use hands to pick-up, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

Location: Batavia, NY

Pay: $18-$20 per hour
