About the role

Developing and executing purchasing strategies for site consumables and operations purchasing needs, tracking metrics, negotiating deals, and managing vendors. To collaborate with different areas on site, forecast needs based on operations schedule, and ensure proper procedures are created. Analyze costs, mitigating risks, and determining optimal delivery quantities and timings while meeting quality standards.

Your responsibilities

* Be responsible for the purchase of all site consumables (Operations, Quality Labs, R&D, etc.) and one-off purchases following PO process
* Standardize and monitor site consumable use through tracking inventory station restocks, reviews as needed with departments, weekly and monthly cycle count verifications
* Ensure all vendors invoices are processed and paid within agreed timeframes to maintain positive vendor relationships and best pricing options
* Ensure all consumables and operations-purchased items meet safety and quality standards
* Maintain department effectively so there is no disruption to site production
* Manage and coach direct report (Receiving/Consumables Clerk) to build and grow skills
* Own and manage Material Cost financial budget with support from Manager and Finance team
* Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
* Drive cross-functional projects to reduce cost or use rate of consumables used on site
* Work with vendors to negotiate best pricing to reduce overall costs to the factory
* Support site engagement to ensure strong performance on all KPIs
* Build strong relationships with other departments
* Ensure strict adherence to HSE and Quality/GMP standards
* Support HSE and Quality audits and ensure CAPA actions (if any) are completed within given deadlines

The experience we're looking for

* High school diploma or equivalent required

* Strong MS Office Skills - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams required

* Strong knowledge of SAP or ERP systems required

* Excellent knowledge in inventory management

* Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management

* Experience with managing a department budget is a plus

* Experience managing and leading direct reports is a plus

* Great interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

* Knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain processes

* Exhibits leadership skills

* Ability to gather and analyze data and to work with figures

* Demonstrated ability to multitask and meet deadlines

* Openness to change and ability to think out of the box

* Entrepreneurial skills in terms of innovation and problem solving are key along with tenacity, tough-mindedness and ability to influence and demonstrate strong team working abilities and commitment

* Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work and resources appropriate to requirements

* Experience of working as part of a multifunctional team, ability to network & build effective working relationships with people within and external to the organization at all levels

* Views information objectively, makes logical assumptions and remains calm under pressure

Salary Ranges

USD $66,000.00 -$102,000.00

Pay Transparency

The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
