Base Pay Range: $71,300.00 - $121,200.00 Annually

Group/Division

With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA's metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. Central Engineering is KLA's largest engineering organization comprised of 9 Centers-of-Excellence (CoE) in various disciplines applied across all product groups in the company. These CoE include Handling & Automation, Precision Motion Control, Sensors & Image Acquisition, Platform Design, and Packaging Engineering, among others. Talent includes over 500 engineers across global centers in Israel, China, India, and the US. Each CoE contributes not just talent and deliverables per discipline toward product programs, but also subject matter expertise, best practices, roadmaps, specialized facilities, apparatus, models, and analytics. Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

At KLA Ann Arbor, we develop innovative prototypes for integration into KLA's next generation of semiconductor inspection equipment! We support our manufacturing plants around the world with groundbreaking designs to keep our products moving forward in the exciting and growing semiconductor market.

We need someone experienced in the part procurement process to coordinate vendor interactions. We have multiple projects going on simultaneously across our groups in Ann arbor who need your support!

Responsibilities

As the Engineering Procurement Planner, you'll develop relationships with key suppliers to lead all aspects of procurement process for engineering projects. This includes:

  • Working with the engineering documentation team in various KLA offices to coordinate the documentation and part procurement for prototype assemblies in multiple KLA locations.
  • Reviewing Bills of Material for prototype projects to verify procurement details are adequately collected.
  • Interacting with vendors to get quotes and prepare purchase requisitions to start the process in preparation for prototype builds.
  • Coordinating purchases to verify delivery times are on schedule and keep communication with vendors open and active.
  • Help with purchase requests from PO to delivery.
  • Coordinate with Shipping, Receiving, Facilities and Material teams on material deliveries across multiple time zones.
  • Help coordinate with Engineering, Project/Program Management on quoting activities.
  • Update partners and communicate progress of material delivery and address any issues that arise.
  • Daily Expedite activities and communication with suppliers for updates on open orders.
Qualifications
  • Experience working with engineering teams during the development and release processes.
  • Strong organizing skills with materials and supporting documentation to keep the dynamic flow of projects running efficiently during the prototyping process.
  • Ability to handle changing priorities and work with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Takes ownership, strong individual initiative, and work towards results.
  • 3 Years in High tech manufacturing environment and experience with manufacturing systems and software (SAP, ERP, MRP).
  • Proficient MS Office Suite Skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and oral
  • Performs efficiently in demanding environments
  • Travel up to 20% required for business.

Minimum Qualifications

Typically requires Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years or 8 years or more or relevant work experience.
